DynaThane Urethane Sheet Products

High Impact Solutions

For the impact area of bulk materials that have little chance of sticking, DynaThane 100% urethane sheet products can be the material of choice. Properties include: excellent corrosion and chemical resistance, and a surface with an average Shore A durometer of 85. This combination of properties gives DynaThane greater impact resistance than either metal or ceramic, and can be used in those applications where metals or ceramics will not last. The upper temperature limit for DynaThane urethane sheet products is 180°F. A special formulation is available for higher temperature applications or areas with high moisture (total immersion).

Ceramic Brick Embedded in Urethane

The best answer to high wear or impact wear areas. DynaWear urethane/ceramic brick panels are an advanced performance material that provides the benefit of ceramic with a greater tolerance to impact from hard/large/heavy bulk materials, tramp materials or hammer blows. The combination of materials consists of long wearing ceramic brick epoxied or welded to an expanded metal sheet, then completely embedded in a urethane matrix. The urethane cushions each brick independently while encapsulating the brick to resist loss due to breakage. Each panel is custom manufactured to the applications specific size and impact requirements. The ceramic brick is available from 1/4″ to 2″ thick. With the urethane backing, which normally equals the thickness of the brick used, the finished panel thickness ranges from 1/2″ to 4″ overall thickness. Sample weights for 1/4″ on 1/4″ (1/2″ OA) = 8.25 pounds and 1/2″ (1″ OA) = 16.5 pounds per square foot.

Benefits of Dynawear

  • Non-Corrosive
  • Out-Wears Other Liners
  • Eliminates Lost Brick
  • Encapsulated Brick
  • Easy to Install
  • Customized to Fit

Fastening Method

DynaWear panels are installed using pre-installed steel or stainless steel studs (stud location designed per application) or via plug welding through the work surface of the panel.

Temperature Limitation

The upper operating temperature limit of the standard urethane/ceramic panel is 180 F. However, a special formulation is available for higher temperature (<350 F) applications and/or areas with high moisture (total immersion).

DynaWear offers the benefits of ceramic but overcomes the weakness, namely loss due to breakage. In high impact / high wear areas there is no better answer than DynaWear.
